California's High Speed Rail Funded: Watch Your Wallet!

Well, the nutty boondoggle high speed rail project got funded today. Watch your wallet, California taxpayers are about to be soaked for the next 30 years on this pipe dream project that will benefit the consultants, rail designers and construction crews. Anyone remember why the government took over Amtrak? And it still loses money.

I would rather see light rail in the middle of every freeway instead of car pools and this really stupid HSR. Can't imagine getting on the train to go from Los Angeles to San Francisco when there are plenty of airplanes and I would still need a rental car. I love trains, but this idea is just not the right way to go. Even the HSR in major European routes are struggling to stay solvent.Yet, California's nutty government officials press forward.
